This is the draft I have created with the background and illustrations paired together. I refined my starting point with my lamp and turned it into the creature, with the background creating a stormy ocean.
i think your idea is really neat, especially with all the ocean creatures that are somewhat bioluminescent!! Your lamp illustration is looking super clean, but i think it starts to get lost in the final as the kraken creature covers a lot of the appliance. what if the kraken/squid was slightly transparent or something to mirror the glass in the lamp, and that way you can show off more of your really cool illustration!
I love your idea, very creative. A few questions would be does the squid like creature have wings? Why is it out of the water and not in it?
